Magic 8 Ball asked:

I’m planning on having some football tailgates at my house this fall and I think a beer pong table would be a nice feature at such gatherings. I’d like to be able to use the 60″ round plastic table that I already have as the base for a board on which the game could be set up.

Does anyone know what the standard size board is for beer pong tables?

Also, are there any special prepartions in the process of making a beer pong table, such as sanding and/or priming?

future best answer asked:

OK so this is an idea for 2 beer pong tables on 1 table. What I was thinking putting two 8 X 2 ply wood sheets laying sideways(horizontally) on a picnic table. Would they sag at the ends because they are only being supported by 3-4 feet…or would it be flat? I was thinking if this works, it would be better to do than having just 1 table on the picnic table.

john s asked: Floating beer pong tables are kind of hard to come by, and on the internet they go for like 50 bucks plus shipping. I was wondering if anyone knows how styrofoam would work in a pool. Obviously it floats, but will it get messed up or something?
